Chinese hardware manufacturer Xiaomi has added another former Google executive to its team. Jai Mani was a strategy and analytics associate for Google Play during his days at the search giant. The new hire will lead Xiaomi’s product team in India.
According to Hugo Barra, who has worked with Mr. Mani in Google, he will be the connection between Xiaomi’s rapidly expanding user base in the country and the company’s engineering team in Beijing. Xiaomi will soon set up an engineering team in India as well. Continue reading

At long last, Meizu has unveiled its new model which has been named the MX4 in Beijing and it is exactly what we would have expected to see thus far. The Meizu MX4 sports a handy 5.36 inch full HD 1080p (1920X1152, and a whopping 418 ppi) of display. While that may be an odd sized at a 15:9 ratio, it is a powerful little device that is powered by MediaTeka MT6895 octa core processing system that utilizes the big LITTLE architect features that have 4 ARM Cortex of A17 processors and 4 Cortex of A7 processors. It boats 2 GB of RAM included in the device that covers all of your basic multi tasking requirements as well as 16, or a 32 or a 64GB of internal storage dependent upon the version that you buy. There is a 3100mAH non removable battery as well as a PowerVR Series 6 GPU which per Meizu and it’s said to be 88 percent more powerful than a GPU in the earlier model. Continue reading
